VCFD and the VC Air Unit hosted an S-270/271 Basic Air Operations and Helicopter Crewmember course last week. The class included a field exercise where participants setup simulated helispots and collaborated on transporting crew members and supplies in and out of those locations. VCFD firefighters and hand crew members were joined by firefighters from partner agencies including Oxnard Fire, Camp Pendleton Fire, Orange County Fire Authority and Santa Barbara County Fire. These courses help prepar
