Check out this wild interaction between the California Condor family and a Golden Eagle at the Toms Canyon nest. As a parent soars in to meet the chick, a Golden Eagle swoops in after the chick and misses its target. The attempt at the chick causes both adult condors to go into defense mode as the chick retreats to the nesting cave. As the largest soaring species in their range, adult California Condors face relatively few predators capable of subduing them, except humans. However, they are very
