Update: the long-awaited Lagos Blue Line Rail will begin full commercial operations on Monday September 4, 2023 from Marina to Mile 2. It is starting with 12 trips for 2 weeks, ramping up to 76 trips/day and you would be able to board the train using your Lagos Cowry Card. This is the people's project and everyone will enjoy its world-class services. Gearing up for Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Red Line Rail Launch Ahead of the LRMT Red Line Rail launch, Managing Director, Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) Engr. Mrs. Abimbola Akinajo, accompanied by a team of technical staff undertook a comprehensive inspection of two overpass bridges and train stations in Ikeja, Mushin and Yaba to gauge the extent of the project’s progress. The Red Line project is progressing smoothly, with work nearing completion. Testing and commission
